New Year, Same me.

So I guess we can count this post as the REAL first post of the year (last post was a fail attempt lol).

School started at full blast and im just trying to get my stuff together in order to finish ahead and leave some room for church projects as well. So far, so good. I can just feel the built up stress and tension in the following weeks leading up to the Olympics. Unlike others, ill be staying inside the office, on my practicum while others are out enjoying the games.

A bit of retail therapy helped balance out the stress that i've been having lately. Treated myself out and splurged. I don't know why the heck I would dish out some moolah for a dress that I don't even know WHEN or WHERE im gonna wear it, but I guess it was just a spur of the moment and that it was the one thing I couldn't get out of my head. I also love, love, LOVE the feeling of buying something and having the price drop down more than I expected it to be from the original price. Not gonna regret it AT ALL.

Other than that, ive been surrounding myself with good things and good people. From eating out, snowboarding, new year's celebration, those trips to the nail place on kingsway, the laughter, CWS and eating out even MORE (ohh gaaad!). Trust me, I wouldn't have such a great start to the year if it weren't for them. :)

There are those occasions though, where I still have to remind myself that I don't deal with really stubborn, ignorant, and close-minded people. I just don't have the tolerance for them anymore and i'll end up losing it and be in a crappy mood. People just don't know how to quit talking, which is very sad. One thing: "Assuming isn't knowing."

It's been a great start to the year and I want to thank those who didn't cut me off, gave me a chance to express myself (and VENT) and not judge me in any way, accepted me as a new or old friend (again), and for giving me a reason to look forward to this year. :)

(I think ill splurge one last time on this... just cause she's a Disney Princess. LOL.)
